Thermography is old news, but it has not been used to enhance diagnotic methods on domestic ovens, stoves, cook-tops etc!

Thermography has two applications related to oven/stove diagnostics. 1. It is used to quickly find hot connections. These can be bad terminations, switch contacts loosing tension etc. 2. We can use it to look at the thermal performance of the oven itself. Is it heating evenly, or leaking from the the door, or maybe the door is a poor design and has poor thermal properties.
